      Atotonilco Wastewater Treatment Plant

      The plant will be one of the largest projects of the Water Sustainability Program of the Valley of Mexico Watershed. Its aim is to treat the wastewater produced in the Valley of Mexico, where the country's capital, Mexico City, is located.

      The wastewater, once treated, will be reused for the irrigation of 80,000 hectares of land.

      The plant will include a cogeneration system to harness the biogas produced from digestion, providing maximum energy savings.

      In 2011, it won the Global Water Intelligence award for Deal of the Year.
