Three primary lamella settling tanks of 164 m3 each. Three bioreactors of 2,930 m3 each; deep aeration (7 m) with Helixors; three rectangular secondary settling tanks with a total of 2,722 m2 of surface area.
Pumping, screening and gravity thickening of primary sludge, and centrifuge thickening of excess secondary sludge. Anaerobic digestion (6,670 m3), gas storage and energy recovery, and mechanical sludge dewatering using centrifuges.
This project upgrade will increase capacity from 4.1 Million Litres per Day to 8.5 Million Litres per Day for those living in Kingsborough, Tasmania.
The contract includes the construction and subsequent operation of the world's largest waste water treatment plant, located in Atotonilco, in the state of Hidalgo.
