The biogas produced by the plant will be used as fuel for the microturbines, the first facility in Brazil to implement this novel technique.
This project upgrade will increase capacity from 4.1 Million Litres per Day to 8.5 Million Litres per Day for those living in Kingsborough, Tasmania.
The contract includes the construction and subsequent operation of the world's largest waste water treatment plant, located in Atotonilco, in the state of Hidalgo.
