    3D PRINTED BUS STOP

This bus stop was installed in the emirate of Ajman and is the first 3D printed bus station manufactured in the Middle East. Its singular and attractive design makes it a one-of-its kind.

The Transport Authority of the Government of Ajman requested ACCIONA to design and build a bus stop using concrete 3D printing technology. The final design takes advantage of the freedom of forms that can be achieved thanks to 3D printing to create this unique piece of art.

The iconic bus stop is 4.5m long, 2m wide and 2.3m high and comprises three 3D printed pieces – two benches and a vertical feature – using powder-bed technology and a light roof supported on three columns.
