    Ferrol Outer Harbour

    The sea wall is on a slope, and has a natural foundation. The external protective layer consists of two layers of 90-ton concrete blocks, with a total thickness of 6.8 m. The wharf also serves as an enclosure, and is made up of 30 reinforced concrete caissons, with a depth of 20 m. 

    The work included the second phase of the extension includes the 656 m extension using caissons from the existing riverside wharf alignment to integrate 1,515 m of wharf with a draft depth of 20 m, defined in the El Ferrol Harbour Extension Project.
